Scientific damage analysis

Damage and quality deviations in textiles often have multiple interacting causes. These may lie in the material itself, processing, production, use conditions or in the interaction of several influencing factors.

Areas of analysis

  • Fiber, yarn or fabric-related issues
  • Material and processing defects
  • Deviations between specification and actual execution
  • Systematic quality deviations in batches or production series
  • Influences from production, storage, transport or use
  • Interactions between material, process and machinery

Analytical approach

Where the data allow it, statistical methods can additionally be applied to assess patterns, trends or differences in complaint data, test series or production records in a robust manner. Where required, scientific damage analysis is also carried out in cooperation with accredited international testing laboratories.

The objective is a technically sound, transparent and defensible evaluation of the observed damage pattern and its likely causes.

Request an initial technical assessment

If you require an expert opinion, evidence collection, damage analysis or technical support in a dispute, please provide a short description of the matter and the objective of your inquiry.
